Certain websites, primarily banking sites display only the login field or the user name field in the webpage. After you submit the user name, it navigates to the second webpage which contains the password field or both the user name and password fields. These sites are categorized as split page login-based websites.
- @clarkU said in Missing Autofill passwords in settings: I am seeing this same behavior in 3.6.2165.36 (Stable channel) (x8664) on MacOS Catalina 10.15.7. I can autofill for websites that don't show up anywhere in settings. I have multiple profiles in use too.
- Your Master Password still protects your data. Using Autofill with 1Password does not bypass your Master Password or undermine the security of 1Password. Your data is encrypted with your Master Password, and that remains true even with Autofill turned on. You are always in control. Autofill previews are turned off by default.
If the Norton Password Manager does not autofill the web form in a specific website, report it through Norton Feedback.
To do this: Do this: Add the site entry automatically: Enter your email address and password for the site and proceed to log in. When prompted by LastPass, click Add to save the site entry to your Vault. Add the site entry manually: Enter your login credentials, but do not log in.
Configure Norton Password Manager for a split page login
Open the website for which you want to save your login.
If the vault is closed, click the Vault is closed option on the web browser.
In the Vault Closed window, type the password and click Open.
Type your login credentials for the website and click Login or Sign in.
You can use Norton Password Manager to save your login details only if the website uses a web-based form for the split page login.
This is a strange problem that I have only encountered on a few sites; it is consistently happening on a specific game website (quakelive.com).
1password Does Not Autofill Text
Anyway, I have my password for my account saved. When I log in, though, the Firefox does not auto-fill the login or password fields. If I enter the login, it still does not auto-fill the password field. I know that Firefox knows the password, because if I enter the wrong one (as I frequently do), I get a pop-up with something like 'Would you like to update the saved password on...?' Well, no, Mr. Firefox, I wouldn't like to update it, but I *would* like you to fill it in if you know it (which you do).
I've checked and double-checked all of the basics in the other articles; I am fairly confident that all of my password and security settings are correct. I rarely have problems on other sites, though I do recall it happening elsewhere before (quakelive seems to be the primary culprit here, and it may be a specific issue with that site). I can always go into the password manager and find it, but that sort of defeats the purpose.
How Do I Get 1password To Autofill
Any ideas?
